As a global pure electric SUV for home use, the MG ES5 is 4476mm*1849mm*1621mm in length, width and height, with a wheelbase of 2730mm. It is a relatively standard compact SUV.
It is reported that the MG ES5, which has a guide price of 116,900 to 146,900 yuan, will be replaced at a surprise price of 99,900 yuan after its re-release. Zhou Yan said that this is a pure electric rear-wheel drive SUV that the whole family can drive and is easy to drive.
Its appearance is rounded and friendly without losing its dynamism. Although it still uses the closed front face and split headlights commonly seen in electric vehicles to achieve a drag coefficient as low as 0.28Cd, it retains conventional door handles and a non-fastback design, taking into account the usage habits and space needs of ordinary consumers to the greatest extent.
In terms of interior, MG ES5 mainly emphasizes comfort and storage space. The soft-covered area of the entire cabin interior is 2.24 square meters, there are 40 storage compartments in the car, the regular volume of the trunk is 462L, the space can be expanded to 1423L, and the partition supports folding.
In terms of the three electrics, the exclusive lying structure of the LBS Rubik's Cube battery ensures a low center of gravity while having extremely strong safety. While the maximum range is 525km, the comprehensive range achievement rate can reach 86%.
In terms of driving control, MG ES5 is built on SAIC Nebula's high-end pure electric architecture, with a front and rear axle load ratio of nearly 50:50, front McPherson + rear five-link independent suspension, equipped with DP-EPS steering gear and XDS cornering dynamic control system, which can better maintain dynamic balance in corners. In addition, to solve the problem of motion sickness in electric cars, MG ES5 is also equipped with a "motion sickness relief system" that effectively reduces motion sickness by 30%.
