Tesla's new Model Y says "despite the comparison", Lei Jun forwarded and responded "OK"

On January 10, the new Model Y landed on Tesla’s official website in China.

Tesla published a promotional article on its official account titled "New Model Y, let's compare". In response, Lei Jun, founder of Xiaomi Group, responded on Weibo: "Okay."

It is reported that the facelifted Model Y has been upgraded in appearance, cockpit, battery life, safety, intelligence, etc. The new Model Y uses split LED headlights, and the daytime running lights are similar to those of Tesla Cybertruck. The tail is equipped with the world's first diffuse reflection taillights, equipped with a newly designed wheel shape and rear diffuser.

The all-new Model Y offers single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive. The former can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and has a CLTC range of 593 km; the latter can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds and has a CLTC range of 719 km.

In terms of price, the rear-wheel drive first edition is pre-sold at 263,500 yuan, and the long-range all-wheel drive first edition is pre-sold at 303,500 yuan. The price is up to 13,600 yuan compared to the old model. The pre-sale is limited to February 28, and delivery will start in March.

At the end of the post, Lei Jun also brought up the topic of Xiaomi's new SUV YU7, which has been officially announced but not yet released. Xiaomi YU7 is Xiaomi's first SUV and is expected to be officially launched in 2025.

In fact, there are quite a few new cars in the industry that are comparable to Tesla Model Y, and some market analysts believe that "Xiaomi YU7 may be the real 'killer' of Tesla in the domestic market."
