Gernot Döllner, Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi AG, stated at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show press conference that Audi will be arriving at the Shanghai Auto Show with the strongest product lineup in the brand's history.
It is reported that at this auto show, Audi not only brought 19 models jointly presented with China FAW and SAIC Group, but also 5 new cars for the first time, demonstrating its in-depth layout and commitment to the Chinese market.
As a new generation of mid-size luxury sedans, Audi A5L is produced and sold by FAW Audi. Its wheelbase is 77mm longer than that of the overseas version of A5 and is built on the PPC luxury fuel vehicle platform.
The A5L Sportback launched by SAIC Audi is also built on the PPC luxury fuel vehicle platform and is equipped with a digital ecosystem customized for the Chinese market. This model has a powertrain that combines performance and efficiency, as well as excellent advanced combined driving assistance functions. Its unique and distinctive rear design perfectly demonstrates the iconic dynamic proportions of the Audi Sportback model, which is eye-catching.
As the third new model built on the PPC luxury fuel vehicle platform, the Audi Q5L has a wheelbase 125 mm longer than the overseas version and is equipped with an enhanced 48-volt mild hybrid power system.
In the field of pure electric vehicles, Audi A6L e-tron and E5 Sportback became the focus of the auto show. The A6L e-tron is built on the PPE luxury pure electric platform. The wheelbase is 132 mm longer than the overseas version. It is equipped with a 107 kWh large-capacity battery and an advanced 800-volt high-voltage electric drive system. The A6L e-tron has a range of up to 770 kilometers, setting a new benchmark for energy efficiency. At the same time, the PPE luxury pure electric platform also gives it more powerful fast charging capabilities.
As the first mass-produced model of the new AUDI brand, the Audi E5 Sportback was jointly developed by Audi and its partner SAIC. This mid-size pure electric coupe not only inherits Audi's brand genes, design aesthetics and driving experience, but also integrates the digital ecosystem and R&D speed advantages of the Chinese market. It is available in rear-wheel drive and quattro four-wheel drive versions, with a maximum power of 579 kilowatts, a zero-to-hundred acceleration of only 3.4 seconds, and a cruising range of up to 770 kilometers. Thanks to the quattro full-time four-wheel drive, adaptive air suspension system and AUDI panoramic assisted driving system that enhances assisted driving, the E5 Sportback demonstrates pure Audi quality and brings unprecedented driving pleasure to consumers.
