Recently, Honeycomb Energy held the fifth Battery Day in Chengdu with the theme of "Bee Wave·Welcome to the Future", and released four new products: off-road batteries, short-blade fast charging, commercial vehicle fast charging and commercial and passenger hybrid, demonstrating its determination and strategy in facing market challenges.

Since the full-domain short knife strategy was proposed in 2021, the shipment volume of Honeycomb Energy's fast-charging short knife batteries exceeded 270,000 sets in 2024. The shipment volume of hybrid vehicles ranked among the top three in the country, and was equipped with many popular models. Chairman Yang Hongxin said at the meeting that as of 2024, Honeycomb Energy has established close cooperation with more than 30 automakers, and the shipment volume of power batteries has exceeded 24GWh, which is expected to double in 2025.

At this Battery Day, SVOLT Energy pioneered the off-road market segment and launched a 59kWh 800V hybrid off-road battery. This product is designed specifically for off-road vehicles and has ultra-high safety, weather resistance, and high power in the full temperature range. It uses a fortress structure design and new materials to achieve an ultra-wide temperature adaptability range of -43°C to 60°C, ensuring power output in extreme environments. The SVOLT Short Blade battery has a 6C charging rate and an energy density of 185Wh/kg. It can be charged to 80% in 8.5 minutes, has a cycle life of more than 5,000 cycles, and a service life of 15 years and 600,000 kilometers.

In the commercial vehicle market, SVOLT Energy has launched long-distance batteries, providing long-life version, fast-charge version and commercial and passenger hybrid batteries to meet the needs of commercial vehicle users for efficient and economical electrification solutions. Among them, the long-life version has a warranty life of 8 years/1.5 million kilometers, and the fast-charge version can be charged to 80% in 14 minutes.

Facing the downward pressure of the global economy and the current situation of industry involution in 2025, Honeycomb Energy will use the category innovation strategy as a way out, focus on hybrid and short-sword products, and consolidate its global leading advantage in off-road and short-sword shipments. In an interview after the meeting, Yang Hongxin admitted that the future pattern of new energy batteries will not change much in 2025, especially the price of lithium batteries in the field of power batteries is expected to gradually become rational.
