“We're all in!” said Xia Yiping, CEO of Jiyue, at the launch event for the Jiyue 07 on September 10.
This is the second model launched by Jiyue Auto three years after its establishment. The new car is available in three variants and six color options, with CLTC ranges of 660 km, 770 km, and 880 km. The limited-time purchase price ranges from 199,900 to 289,900 yuan (including a 10,000 yuan cash rebate).
It is reported that the Jiyue 07 combines the robust resources of Baidu, Geely, and CATL. It benefits from over 10 years of continuous investment exceeding 170 billion yuan from Baidu in AI capabilities and the comprehensive empowerment of Apollo, is built on Geely's SEA architecture developed over four years with an investment of more than 18 billion yuan, and features high-performance power batteries from CATL, which has exceeded 70 billion yuan in total investment. This makes it a fusion of cutting-edge AI large models, advanced intelligent driving, an exceptional vehicle architecture, and top-tier battery technology.
In terms of exterior design, the Jiyue 07 invested 300 million yuan to move the A-pillar back by 65 mm, giving it an excellent body proportion and A-pillar angle; the 15 mm ultra-slim intelligent interactive headlights can illuminate a distance that penetrates the equivalent of 15 basketball courts. The stamped wide "clam-shell" hood, measuring over 2 meters, enhances overall cohesion and a low-slung appearance; the design features no door handles and a wide rear shoulder with a stamping depth of 373 mm, complemented by a sleek tailgate and high-performance automatic rising rear wing, achieving a drag coefficient as low as 0.198.
Inside, the Jiyue 07 boasts the largest 1.96 square meter panoramic skylight in its class, a fifth-generation U-shaped steering wheel, a 35.6-inch 3D integrated display, retractable speakers, business-class comfort seats, 256-color star ring ambient lighting, and Nappa leather material that is free of formaldehyde, showcasing a focus on user-friendly and high-tech features. Thanks to its exceptional 3013 mm long wheelbase, the Jiyue 07 offers leading front and rear space in its class, with a trunk capacity of 581 liters easily accommodating two 30-inch and one 24-inch suitcase; folding the rear seats expands the space to 1573 liters.
The Jiyue 07 is equipped with a high-performance tri-electric system, featuring CATL's high-performance Kirin battery and a bulletproof-grade armor coating. The electric drive utilizes 800V silicon carbide technology, achieving an overall efficiency of up to 96.5% and a maximum power output of 530 kW. This powertrain not only allows the Jiyue 07 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 230 km/h, but also provides ultra-rapid charging capabilities, fueling 600 km of range in just 10 minutes—almost “1 second per kilometer.”
Moreover, the Jiyue 07 is designed to meet ultra-five-star safety standards, with a roof capable of bearing a weight of 10.6 tons. The vehicle is equipped with seven space-return capsule-level airbags. Additionally, the intelligent electric doors come with four millimeter-wave radars and one independent redundant power source, providing a 5000N unlocking force and an additional 1000N door opening force, ensuring anti-collision, resistance to freezing, and reliable operation.
In terms of intelligent driving, the Jiyue 07 is the first to feature Baidu's ASD Apollo advanced intelligent driving technology, marking the “first ever application of L4-level autonomous driving large model technology in family cars globally.” It allows for seamless movement from Point A to Point B, combines lane changing and obstacle avoidance, intelligently limits speed, and provides automatic start-stop at traffic lights. It can autonomously merge lanes, yield to pedestrians, make unprotected left turns, and includes leading features like corner AEB and extremely narrow parking, claiming that by the end of 2024, Jiyue ASD will be usable wherever Baidu Maps can navigate nationwide.
In the cockpit, the Jiyue 07 presents the industry’s first native AI large model cabin, leveraging both edge-side and cloud-side advantages. The newly upgraded SIMO 2.0 is smarter and more user-friendly, with a recognition speed as fast as 500 ms, and it enables smooth interaction even in weak or no network environments, supporting nearly all vehicle functions. Additionally, the SIMO 2.0 uniquely achieves lip movement recognition, increasing the voice recognition accuracy in noisy environments to 90%.
With the launch of the Jiyue 07, the brand officially enters the dual-model era.
Data shows that in August of this year, Jiyue’s single vehicle model sales reached 2117 units, setting a new record.
