The chairman of SAIC Motor officially announced the change of leadership.

On July 10, SAIC Motor held the 23rd meeting of the 8th Board of Directors and implemented the decision on leadership adjustments made at the cadre meeting on July 2. The meeting resolved to elect Wang Xiaoqiu, a director of the company, as the chairman of the 8th Board of Directors. Upon nomination by the chairman of the company, it was agreed to appoint Jia Jianxu as the president of the company, with a term of office consistent with that of the current Board of Directors.

The official announcement revealed that the former chairman Chen Hong resigned from the chairman and other positions due to retirement age. The board of directors expressed its sincere gratitude to Chen Hong for his contributions in leading the board of directors to carry out fruitful work during his tenure and promoting the company to overcome difficulties, forge ahead, and innovate and transform.

It is reported that Wang Xiaoqiu was born in 1964. He has served as deputy director of Shanghai Automotive Industry Technology Center, deputy general manager of Shanghai Pierburg Nonferrous Parts Co., Ltd., deputy general manager of Shanghai Automotive Co., Ltd., general manager of SAIC Passenger Vehicle, and president of SAIC Group. He is currently the party secretary and chairman of SAIC Motor Corporation.

Jia Jianxu was born in 1978. He has served as deputy general manager and executive deputy general manager of Shanghai Yanfeng Johnson Controls Seating Co., Ltd., deputy general manager of SAIC Europe Co., Ltd., deputy general manager of Shanghai Automotive Industry Hong Kong Co., Ltd., vice president of SAIC Motor Corporation Limited and general manager and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. He is currently the president and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of SAIC Motor Corporation Limited.

Both of them have extensive work experience in various business sectors under the SAIC system.
