Range-extending technology has become a major option in the current new energy market, but users still have concerns about its high energy consumption during power depletion, rapid battery degradation, and high maintenance costs.
Geely's Galaxy brand recently officially launched its new generation of Super AI range extender technology, and announced that it will be first used in the flagship MPV model Galaxy V900. It is ready to redefine the family and business travel experience with four core values: "the world's largest space, the strongest four-wheel drive performance, the highest comprehensive energy efficiency, and the best AI intelligence".

According to reports, the Galaxy V900 is the first vehicle to adopt a range-extended electric drive "stacked vertical layout," compressing the front powertrain volume to 0.4m³, freeing up nearly 150mm of longitudinal space for the passenger cabin, achieving a 91.8% usable floor area ratio. The second and third rows both offer over 1 meter of longitudinal space, and the trunk capacity reaches 1100L, accommodating 15 20-inch carry-on suitcases. A flat floor and a 1.93-meter-long sliding rail further enhance spatial flexibility, easily switching between four-seat and seven-seat configurations.

According to the official introduction, the V900 is the industry's first MPV with front and rear dual motors and four-wheel drive. The system has a peak power of 340kW and a torque of 523N·m. It is equipped with a 1.5T high-efficiency range extender with a thermal efficiency of 47.26%, achieving the industry's highest conversion rate of 3.77 kWh of electricity from 1L of oil, with a power generation cost as low as 1.9 yuan/kWh.
In addition, its AI energy management system can intelligently allocate energy according to navigation and driving habits, maintaining a maximum speed of 155km/h even when the battery is depleted, and the power output does not decrease significantly.
The Galaxy V900 is also equipped with the Qianli Haohan H5 driving assistance solution, which supports functions such as image-free NOA and cross-floor memory parking. It is also equipped with the Flyme Auto 2.0 system and Qualcomm 8295P chip, integrating DeepSeek and self-developed AI large model to achieve voice interaction, microphone-free karaoke and other experiences.

In terms of safety, the vehicle is equipped with 11 airbags, a 2000MPa boron steel body, and a shield battery system, forming a five-fold safety protection.
As competition intensifies in the new energy MPV market, the Galaxy V900 is no longer limited to a single selling point. Instead, it deeply integrates space, energy consumption, performance, and intelligence through AI to respond to the real needs of family users for "applicability to all scenarios" and is ready to reshape the market landscape of new energy MPVs.
