With the dual support of the Yuanjing Intelligent Driving Assistance System and the Shenqing Range Extender Technology, the BAIC Jihu Alfa T5 is poised to redefine the value benchmark for mid-size SUVs in the 150,000 RMB price range.
On October 28th, the BAIC Jihu Alpha T5, a "long-range intelligent mid-size SUV," was launched in Beijing. With a limited-time offer price of 109,800 to 154,800 yuan, it offers seven versions with two powertrain options: pure electric and range-extended. It also provides three unique industry guarantees, including "lifetime warranty on the three core electric components, one-to-one compensation for battery self-ignition, and replacement only if battery degradation is less than 70% within 8 years or 150,000 kilometers."
It has been revealed that pre-orders for the new car have exceeded 10,000 units.

As the industry's first SUV to lower the threshold for urban NOA (Noise, Autopilot, and Autopilot) to a price below 150,000 yuan, the Alfa T5 is the world's first to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8775 cockpit-driver integrated chip and the BAIC Yuanjing intelligent assisted driving system. Its unique "inertial navigation binocular stereo vision system" simulates the principle of human eyes, and in conjunction with an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), it can accurately identify complex road conditions such as changes in tunnel brightness and strong nighttime light, avoiding various obstacles without relying on a pre-existing database. Its 144 TOPS ultra-high computing power supports cockpit-autonomous driving domain collaboration, enabling operations in complex scenarios such as following other vehicles in traffic jams, making unprotected left turns, and autonomously entering and exiting highway ramps, making assisted driving "as reliable as an experienced driver."
In terms of power, the extended-range version is equipped with BAIC Shenqing's extended-range powertrain and CATL's Xiaoyao battery, featuring an Atkinson cycle range extender with a thermal efficiency of 43%, coupled with seamless start-stop technology optimized with 12 parameters, significantly reducing vibration and noise. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds on a full charge and still achieves 6.8 seconds when the battery is depleted. The WLTC fuel consumption is 5.18L/100km, and the CLTC combined range reaches up to 1215km, eliminating the three major pain points of "vibration, noise, and slow battery depletion." The pure electric version has a maximum range upgraded to 705km, equipped with an 800V high-voltage supercharging platform, enabling fast charging from 30% to 80% in 8.9 minutes, and providing over 500km of range in just 15 minutes. It is compatible with charging piles from all brands.

Furthermore, the new vehicle boasts significantly improved space and features, with a length of 4760mm and a wheelbase of 2845mm. With the second-row seats folded down, the trunk capacity expands to 1546L, meeting the needs of family travel. Leveraging Magna's luxurious manufacturing standards and a 1500MPa submarine-grade body, the Alfa T5 continues the brand's "safety, quality, and health" DNA, providing consumers with a high-performance, cost-effective intelligent mobility option.
