1. Recall number S2025M0165I: Effective immediately, 44,535 2015 Tang series vehicles manufactured between March 28, 2015, and July 28, 2017, are being recalled.
Due to component design issues, some vehicles within the recall may experience malfunctions in the active discharge function of the drive motor controller during use. In extreme cases, this can cause circuit board corrosion and disable the vehicle's pure electric drive mode, posing a safety hazard.
This recall is being conducted in conjunction with a defect investigation initiated by the State Administration for Market Regulation. BYD Auto Industry Co., Ltd. will entrust authorized dealers to provide a free software update for vehicles within the recall scope, changing the discharge method to electric discharge to eliminate safety hazards.
2. Recall number S2025M0166I: From now on, we will recall some Yuan Pro pure electric vehicles produced between February 6, 2021 and August 5, 2022, totaling 71,248 vehicles.
Due to manufacturing issues, some vehicles within the scope of this recall may have improperly installed power battery gaskets, resulting in reduced sealing. Prolonged high-speed driving through water may cause water to enter the power battery, degrading insulation performance. In extreme cases, the power battery output power may be reduced, posing a safety hazard.
This recall is being conducted in conjunction with a defect investigation initiated by the State Administration for Market Regulation. BYD Auto Industry Co., Ltd. will entrust authorized dealers to use a special sealant to reinforce the power battery housings of recalled vehicles free of charge, restoring their waterproofing and eliminating safety hazards.
