Surrounded by numerous new energy products, Geely Auto gave the centerpiece of its booth at the 2025 Chengdu International Auto Show to a fuel vehicle.
On August 28, Geely China Star's new Oriental Yao series was unveiled at the center of Geely's Chengdu Auto Show booth, announcing that it would redefine the luxury standards of fuel vehicles with its "five major luxuries" product strengths.
This series of vehicles leverages five core advantages: "Chinese design, intelligent technology, ultimate driving control, enhanced comfort, and Chinese-style safety" to comprehensively enhance the driving experience. Equipped with the GEEA 3.0 electronic and electrical architecture and the Flyme Auto system, it also debuts the Qianli Haohan assisted driving H3 solution, achieving advanced intelligent driving. Powered by a 2.0TD transmission and Aisin 8-speed automatic transmission, it boasts a 0-60 sprint time of 6.5 seconds. It also features an AI digital chassis, seat massage, and comprehensive safety systems.

Although new energy has become the mainstream narrative in China's auto industry, Geely, based on its insight into the development trend of the Chinese auto market and user needs, insists on the parallel development of multiple energy routes and does not give up its continued investment in the fuel vehicle track.
Public statistics show that domestic fuel-powered vehicles will still account for half of China's passenger car market in the first half of 2025. As of July this year, Geely's China Star series had achieved cumulative sales of over 1.6 million units, making it the fastest high-end Chinese series model in the 100,000-200,000 yuan fuel-powered vehicle market to enter the million-yuan club, demonstrating its commitment to high value for Chinese cars.
