On the National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System, a new cancellation registration announcement for Jianglai Advanced Manufacturing Technology (Anhui) Co., Ltd. recently appeared. The reason for cancellation was "resolution to dissolve" and the announcement period was from June 10 to July 24.

It is reported that the company was established in March 2021, with Li Ming as the legal representative and a registered capital of RMB 510 million. Its business covers road motor vehicle production, production line management services, etc. It is jointly held by NIO Holdings Co., Ltd. and Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Co., Ltd.

The cooperation between NIO and JAC Motors began in 2016, when the two parties reached a cooperation agreement that all NIO models would be manufactured by JAC Motors, and the produced models would need to have the "JAC Motors" logo on the rear. In the early years, many new car companies that had not yet obtained production qualifications wanted to achieve mass production as soon as possible, and this "OEM" cooperation model was almost a must. Not only NIO and JAC, but also Xiaopeng and Haima, and even Xiaomi and BAIC have all carried out this "OEM" cooperation model.

However, as new car-making forces generally begin to obtain complete production qualifications and build their own factories, the "OEM" cooperation model will inevitably come to an end. The "breakup" between NIO and JAC this time basically follows this situation.
At the end of 2023, NIO spent 4.5 billion yuan to acquire the production equipment and assets of the first and second advanced manufacturing bases from JAC, and transformed them into the NIO F1 factory and the future F2 factory respectively. NIO said that this move will significantly reduce production costs. Also in December, NIO officially joined the "Vehicle Production Enterprise Credit Information Management System" of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, announcing that NIO officially obtained the qualification to manufacture cars independently. This also means that the seven-year foundry "marriage" between NIO and JAC has begun the countdown.
Nowadays, the dissolution of a joint venture is just a procedure after the dissolution of OEM.
