On September 17, in Hangzhou, the "City of AI", Geely Auto once again demonstrated its strength in building AI cars with its full-domain AI system.
On the same day, the Geely Galaxy M9, which is poised to become a hit in the mainstream large six-seater SUV market, was announced for launch. The new car will be available in six configurations, with a limited-time guide price of 173,800 to 238,800 yuan. It is known by the outside world as the "half-price ideal".
It is reported that as a model empowered by Geely's full-domain AI system, the Geely Galaxy M9 sets a new benchmark for large six-seater SUVs in many aspects.
In terms of design, it adopts the "Galaxy Ripples" design language, is equipped with through-type headlights and "Rising Sun" taillights, has a drag coefficient as low as 0.285Cd, and is available in six body colors and two interior colors.

The 5.2-meter-long vehicle, with a wheelbase exceeding 3 meters, boasts an interior area of 5.2 square meters, achieving an 88.3% room efficiency ratio. The three rows of seats are luxuriously appointed, supporting multiple space modes and flexible storage expansion.

Yi Xinyu, President of Geely Vehicle Research Institute
In an interview, Yi Xinyu, Director of Geely's Vehicle Research Institute, stated that Geely breaks down departmental walls in product development, fostering deep collaboration between R&D and sales. From the model planning stage, Geely prioritizes user needs, such as optimizing third-row space for two-wheel drive models and utilizing distributed three-motor technology for four-wheel drive models. The "three-entry mansion" design, based on the GEA Evo architecture, achieves an 88.3% room efficiency. When fully occupied, the trunk can accommodate six 20-inch carry-on luggage, and the second and third rows can be folded flat to transform into a "RV."

On a technical level, the Galaxy M9's global AI capabilities are its core competitive advantage. Leveraging the immense computing power of the StarRui Intelligent Computing Center 2.0, StarRui AI's large-scale models, and vast amounts of data, its AI technology encompasses intelligent cockpit, assisted driving, powertrain, and chassis. Equipped with an AI digital chassis and the next-generation Thor EM-P AI hybrid system, the Galaxy M9 achieves 0-60 sprint time of 4.5 seconds and a Moose Test score of 83 km/h. Powered by the StarRui AI Cloud Power 2.0 control system, the Galaxy M9 boasts a fuel consumption of 4.8L/100km using CLTC power supply and a range exceeding 1,500km. The Galaxy M9 is the first to feature the Flyme Auto 2 AI intelligent cockpit and the Qianli Haohan H5 assisted driving solution. It also boasts the Eva emotional intelligent body, multi-screen linkage, and a 27-speaker sound system, enabling features such as City No Mapping (NOA).
In terms of safety, under the 720° full-dimensional safety concept, the high-strength Star Armor cage body has a torsional stiffness of 32,500N·m/deg, and the SHIELD plug-in hybrid battery has reliable performance.
Officials revealed that pre-sale orders for the Geely Galaxy M9 exceeded 40,000 in the first 24 hours. In an exclusive interview, Fan Junyi, General Manager of Geely Auto Sales, did not deny media reports that orders exceeded production capacity. He explained that in response to this situation, Geely is ensuring "immediate delivery upon launch," prioritizing the first batch of users. Geely is also strictly focusing on channel service, enhancing user experience through independent operations of A and Star Networks, on-demand product introductions, and transparent pricing, while resolutely eliminating price hikes. "Once this practice (price hikes) occurs, it will be difficult to achieve sustained sales growth. Furthermore, if users pay a premium to receive their cars, it will completely destroy the initial positive impression of the product."

Fan Junyi, General Manager of Geely Automobile Sales Company
"The positioning of Galaxy M9 is undoubtedly the flagship product of the Galaxy brand," Fan Junyi said in an interview, "It not only has to bear the responsibility of sales, but also has the mission of promoting the brand."
It is reported that more than 50% of the pre-sale orders for Galaxy M9 are from families with two children, and most of the car owners are backbones of society such as government agencies, high-end manufacturing, doctors and teachers. The addition of these people will greatly enrich the user structure of the Galaxy brand and help it achieve a leap in brand value.
