
According to the latest data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers on December 11, in November 2025, my country's automobile production and sales reached 3.532 million and 3.429 million vehicles respectively, representing month-on-month increases of 5.1% and 3.2%, and year-on-year growth rates of 2.8% and 3.4%. This also marks the first time that monthly production has exceeded 3.5 million vehicles.

Even more noteworthy is that automobile exports reached 728,000 units that month, a 9.3% increase month-on-month and a 48.5% increase year-on-year. This marks the first time in history that China's automobile exports have exceeded 700,000 units in a single month. Cumulative exports for the first 11 months reached 6.343 million units, a year-on-year increase of 18.7%. Chen Shihua, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, analyzed that annual exports are expected to reach a record high of 7 million units.
From January to November this year, China's total automobile production and sales reached 31.231 million and 31.127 million vehicles respectively, representing year-on-year increases of 11.9% and 11.4%. The growth rate was slightly lower than that of the first 10 months, but the total volume has firmly reached the 30 million vehicle mark.
In addition, data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers shows that in November, passenger vehicle production and sales reached 3.144 million and 3.037 million units respectively, a slight increase of 1.1% and 1.2% year-on-year; from January to November, cumulative production and sales reached 27.388 million and 27.256 million units respectively, an increase of 12% and 11.5% year-on-year.
In November, the commercial vehicle market saw production and sales of 388,000 and 392,000 vehicles respectively, representing month-on-month increases of 6.6% and 8.6%, and year-on-year surges of 18.6% and 24.4%. In the first 11 months, cumulative production and sales reached 3.843 million and 3.87 million vehicles respectively, representing year-on-year increases of 11.6% and 10.4%.
In November, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 1.88 million and 1.823 million units respectively, representing year-on-year increases of 20% and 20.6%, with new car sales accounting for more than 50% of total sales for the first time (reaching 53.2%). From January to November, the cumulative production and sales reached 14.907 million and 14.78 million units respectively, representing year-on-year increases of 31.4% and 31.2%, with the penetration rate rising to 47.5%.
Domestic brands have become a major winner in the market this year. In November, sales of Chinese brand passenger vehicles reached 2.169 million units, a year-on-year increase of 5.8%, with a market share of 71.4%; cumulative sales for the first 11 months reached 18.978 million units, a year-on-year increase of 19.4%, with a stable market share of 69.6%.
