BYD and Honor signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Shenzhen on October 21st. The two parties will leverage BYD DiLink's new-generation smart ecosystem and Honor's connected car solutions, focusing on the "car" as the core, to provide users with a smarter and more personalized travel experience.
Under the joint witness of BYD Group Chairman and President Wang Chuanfu and Honor Terminal Co., Ltd. CEO Li Jian, BYD Group Senior Vice President and Dean of the Automotive New Technology Research Institute Yang Dongsheng and Honor Terminal Co., Ltd. Product Line President Fang Fei signed the agreement on behalf of both parties, officially opening a new chapter of in-depth cooperation in smart travel.

The strategic partnership between BYD and Honor represents not only a deep collaboration between the two tech companies at the technological and ecological levels, but also a forward-looking layout for the future of smart mobility. This collaboration will focus on three key areas: core technology and functional implementation, channel ecosystem and user rights, and joint communications and user engagement.
At the level of core technology and function implementation, the two parties will continue to deepen cooperation in areas such as cross-end ecological integration, AI Agent integration, and high-precision Bluetooth car keys to promote technological iteration; at the level of channel ecology and user rights, relying on Honor's car-connected capabilities and BYD's smart ecology, the two parties will build a "product co-exhibition + data co-operation" channel cooperation model to achieve platform-level rights and interests interoperability; at the level of joint communication and user reach, around important nodes such as vehicle launch conferences and model launch conferences, the two parties will collaborate on creative marketing, joint releases and user operations, and explore more diverse communication forms.

The two parties have a long-standing collaboration. Starting in 2023, BYD and Honor achieved a technological breakthrough in NFC-enabled car keys, allowing BYD owners to easily unlock their vehicles using Honor phones. By 2024, the partnership expanded to include in-car fast charging. In 2025, the two parties will deepen their collaboration based on their existing vehicle connectivity technology foundation. The Denza brand will be the first to connect to the Honor car connectivity system, with the system subsequently expanding to cover all BYD brands, achieving seamless cross-device interaction and service.
This strategic partnership not only represents a deep integration of BYD and Honor's technology and resources, but also represents a significant innovation in the field of smart mobility. Focused on user needs and driven by AI technology, the two parties will continue to deepen their collaboration in areas such as vehicle connectivity and digital keys, promoting the iteration and application of innovative functional modules to comprehensively enhance the safety and convenience of vehicle use. This partnership will also inject new momentum into the evolution of China's smart mobility ecosystem, helping the industry move towards a more mature stage of development.
