Avita officially responded to the Ningde Avita 06 fire incident.
On October 9, Avita released a statement stating that on October 5, 2025, an Avita 06 caught fire in a parking lot in Xiapu County, Ningde City, Fujian Province. The Avita team arrived at the scene immediately to assist the user with the problem, supported the relevant departments in handling the fire, provided complete vehicle data, and cooperated with the fire department in the fire investigation.
The statement said that according to the latest feedback from local authorities, the fire occurred in the passenger seat. At the time of the fire, the battery pack voltage, temperature, and air pressure were normal, ruling out faults in the power battery, drive motor, or high-voltage electronic control as possible causes. Other possible causes of the fire are being further investigated by relevant authorities.

According to previous media reports, on October 5th, an Avita 06 suddenly caught fire in a parking lot in Dongbi Village, Sansha Town, Ningde City, Fujian Province, setting seven other vehicles, including Audis and BMWs, on fire. On social media, someone claiming to be the owner of the car claimed to have purchased it on August 28th of this year and had only been in use for a month and a half.
The incident occurred at a critical time for Avita as it prepares for its Hong Kong IPO. Changan Automobile previously revealed that it has begun promoting Avita's listing, and market sources suggest that Avita may submit its application to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in the fourth quarter of this year.
