On August 29, Mercedes-Benz brought 28 star-branded cars to the 2025 Chengdu Auto Show.
Among them, the new Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ convertible coupe was romantically launched with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of 780,000 yuan.

Following the Mercedes-AMG SL Roadster, the AMG SL is the second high-performance convertible in the AMG lineup. Utilizing the golden proportions of a Mercedes-AMG coupe, combined with the AMG performance aesthetic, it boasts the longest body (4,853 mm) and wheelbase (2,875 mm) in its class. Its short front and rear overhangs, along with its long nose, further enhance its dynamic stance. Its 3.0-liter inline-six engine, tuned and optimized for AMG, delivers a continuous output of 330 kW (449 hp) and 560 Nm of torque, and can deliver a peak torque of 600 Nm for 10 seconds under overboost. The vehicle features an electrically operated fabric soft top that opens and closes in just 20 seconds at speeds up to 60 km/h.
The first model of the new Mercedes-Benz modular architecture MMA platform, the "good-looking and fun-to-play" new Mercedes-Benz pure electric CLA also made a stunning appearance.

As the first model built on the MMA platform, the all-new all-electric CLA officially opens a new chapter in Mercedes-Benz's intelligent luxury electric vehicle journey. With a class-leading 10.9 kWh per 100 kilometers, the all-new CLA boasts an exceptional range of 866 kilometers on a single charge under CLTC conditions. This benchmark efficiency is the result of cutting-edge technologies from the VISION EQXX concept car: an 800-volt electrical architecture, an EDU electric drive unit, a silicon carbide (SiC) inverter, a multi-source heat pump, and the only electric two-speed transmission in its class, delivering both powerful explosive power and endurance. It will also be the most intelligent Mercedes-Benz vehicle.
Furthermore, Mercedes-Benz's high-end luxury product portfolio continues to evolve. At this auto show, the Mercedes-Maybach S 680 "MANUFAKTUR" premium edition made its grand debut. The G-Class off-road family showcased three key models: the Mercedes-Benz G 500, the Mercedes-AMG G 63, and the all-electric Mercedes-Benz G 580. These two hybrid powertrains offer diverse options for those seeking both hardcore off-roading and a luxurious experience.
It is reported that in the first half of this year, in the Chengdu-Chongqing market, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan and GLS SUV both won the sales crown in their market segments. Mercedes-Benz continued to be the preferred brand for customers in the market segments above 1 million and 1.5 million, fully demonstrating the favor and recognition of Chengdu and Chongqing consumers for Mercedes-Benz's high-end luxury products.
