The newly launched SAIC Maxus Star X True Passenger Edition, with an official guide price of 195,800-235,800 yuan, recently held a static evaluation event on the banks of the Huangpu River. SAIC Maxus also launched the world premiere of its "Star Stack" platform, specifically designed for pickup trucks, and introduced strategic models such as the Star X True Passenger Edition. SAIC Maxus defines this new vehicle as "the first nationwide unrestricted off-road pickup truck," hoping that its "6"-prefixed multi-purpose passenger vehicle will break the limitations of traditional pickup truck usage scenarios and usher in a new era of all-scenario freedom for pickup trucks.

The "6" prefix on the Star X True Passenger Edition means unlimited individual registration, allowing drivers with a C1 license to drive. It also enjoys nationwide driving restrictions, free access to urban areas and elevated highways. It also enjoys a six-year inspection exemption, without the 15-year mandatory scrapping requirement. It also enjoys free highway tolls on holidays. Compared to conventional pickup trucks with a "1" prefix, which are subject to regulations like a 15-year mandatory scrapping, city restrictions, and annual inspections, the Star X True Passenger Edition offers fewer restrictions, freeing users from daily commuting, childcare, and short urban trips, eliminating the need to plan detours for weekend drives.
At the same time, as a pickup truck that is more like a passenger car, the Star X True Passenger Edition is equipped with a "golden 2.5T power combination" consisting of a SAIC πPlus 2.5T diesel engine and a ZF 8AT gearbox. It can output 165kW peak power and 520N·m peak torque, accelerate from 0 to 60km/h in 4.5 seconds, and consume 7.9L of fuel per 100km, meeting the Euro 7 emission standards.

In terms of space, the car adopts the domestically pioneered "Transformable Magic Cabin" design. The basic volume of the rear bucket is 1200L, which can be expanded to an ultra-large space of 3000L by folding down the rear window tailgate, meeting the diverse needs of camping, outdoor sports, etc.
As China's youngest pickup truck brand, SAIC Maxus boasts the fastest-growing pickup truck sales, achieving the fastest month-over-month growth in the pickup truck market in April. In overseas markets, its T90 EV pure electric pickup truck also became the first Chinese brand to enter the European and Australian markets, establishing a presence in the top five markets with sales exceeding 10,000 units. The recently launched Star X True Passenger Edition combines the comfort of a passenger car with the functionality of a pickup truck, redefining the use of pickup trucks and transforming them from "tools" to "partners."
