What kind of electric car can you buy with a budget of around 100,000 yuan? The first pure electric sedan in the B series of Leapmotor, Leapmotor B01, which was launched on July 24, gave a new answer.
It is reported that the car is positioned as a "high-quality smart car for young people" and is available in six versions with three battery lifespans. The official guide price is 89,800 to 119,800 yuan. It enters the A-class car market with full configuration in six dimensions: battery life, driving control, intelligence, space, appearance, and safety.
Nicknamed the "half-price Model 3," it is poised to break the industry's "unspoken rule" of "high price and low configuration" and redefine the standards for mainstream sedans.
With "no anxiety about battery life" as its core, Leapmotor B01 provides three models with CLTC ranges of 430km, 550km and 650km respectively. Its power consumption per 100km is as low as 11.4kWh, and the travel cost per kilometer is as low as a few cents. In terms of driving control, Leapmotor B01 has a maximum power of 160kW, a peak torque of 240N·m, and a zero-to-hundred acceleration time of 6.4 seconds. In terms of intelligence, it is equipped with Qualcomm 8650 high-performance chip and end-to-end large model of LiDAR, and the computing power platform reaches 200TOPS. It has 27 high-precision sensing hardware, which can realize 26 assisted driving functions such as high-speed navigation assistance NAP. In terms of space, it is designed with "A-class size, B-class space" to achieve an 86% room rate; there are 26 storage spaces in the whole car, and the trunk volume is 460L (including 70L sunken storage compartment), which can accommodate 4 24-inch suitcases.
In terms of appearance, the Leapmotor B01 is based on the concept of "technological natural aesthetics". The Tissot fluid body is matched with a 17.2° wind-controlling aesthetic fastback angle to create an ultra-low wind resistance of 0.197Cd. In terms of safety, the body adopts a 9-horizontal and 7-vertical hard-core cage structure, with high-strength steel accounting for 76.6%.
