
According to the State Administration for Market Regulation, from January to June this year, my country conducted 87 auto product recalls involving 5.2806 million vehicles, down 34.59% and up 29.39% year-on-year respectively. As of June 30 this year, my country has conducted 3,162 auto product recalls involving 119 million vehicles.
In terms of the nature of recalls, from January to June this year, the State Administration for Market Regulation conducted investigations and urged companies to recall cars 21 times, involving 2.3393 million vehicles, accounting for 44.30%. As of June 30 this year, the State Administration for Market Regulation has conducted investigations and urged companies to recall cars 628 times, involving 63.4875 million vehicles, accounting for 53.34%.
From the perspective of energy power type, from January to June this year, traditional fuel vehicles were recalled 56 times and 3.7516 million vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 44.55% and an increase of 101.10% respectively; new energy vehicles were recalled 48 times and 1.529 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 20.00% and a decrease of 30.99% respectively (among them, pure electric vehicles were recalled 25 times and 1.313 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 8.70% and a decrease of 23.00% respectively; hybrid vehicles were recalled 25 times and 216,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 47.06% and a decrease of 57.67% respectively).
In terms of the total number involved, from January to June this year, the largest number of recalls were caused by steering system defects, involving 2.2403 million vehicles, accounting for 42.43%; the number of recalls caused by engine defects was 1.0498 million vehicles, accounting for 19.88%; the number of recalls caused by braking system defects was 745,400 vehicles, accounting for 14.12%.
From the perspective of automobile brand attributes, from January to June this year, imported manufacturers recalled 41 times and 1.7128 million vehicles, down 35.94% and 21.05% year-on-year respectively; joint venture manufacturers recalled 36 times and 3.5283 million vehicles, down 10.00% and up 114.70% year-on-year respectively; independent manufacturers recalled 10 times and 39,500 vehicles, down 65.52% and 85.27% year-on-year respectively.
