The rise of new car-making forces has allowed the new forces of new energy companies that have emerged from traditional car giants to take advantage of the opportunity.
However, similar to the situation of new car-making forces, although they have been working very hard, the road is still difficult.
Sales data for the first half of 2025 showed that among the "new forces of big manufacturers", not many had a sales target completion rate of more than 30%. Although brands such as BYD, Avita, Lantu, Aion, and Zhiji had double-digit sales growth, their completion rates did not exceed the 30% baseline. This means that they will face great sales pressure in the second half of the year and will need to work together through new product launches, channel expansion, and overseas markets.
In the first half of this year, Denza sold 79,830 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 34%. With a sales target of 300,000 vehicles for the whole year, the annual target completion rate is 26.6%. Although the main model D9 continues to sell well, the lack of performance of non-MPV models has caused the overall progress to lag behind, and the growth needs to be accelerated through channel expansion in the second half of the year.
Avita sold about 59,084 units in the first half of the year. In fact, in June this year, Avita's sales have exceeded 10,000 for four consecutive months, an increase of 117% year-on-year. Despite the significant growth rate, due to the small sales base, the target is set high (220,000 units for the whole year, an increase of 197% over 2024), resulting in an annual target completion rate of 26.9%. If the target is to be achieved throughout the year, it must continue to maintain ultra-high growth, which is very stressful.
The cumulative sales volume of Lantu in the first half of the year was about 56,128 units, an increase of 85% year-on-year. This growth rate is already good, but like Avita, it has set an ultra-high growth target of 200,000 units for the whole year, so the annual target completion rate is 28.1%.
From the current perspective, if Lantu wants to achieve its set goals, its average monthly sales in the second half of the year need to reach 24,000 vehicles. Compared with its current average monthly sales of about 10,000 vehicles, the goal is very difficult to achieve.
