If it weren't for the news of personnel changes, Ora, the electric car brand under Great Wall that claims to be "the most women-loving" brand, would have almost been forgotten by the outside world.
On June 20, Great Wall Motors issued an announcement appointing Lv Wenbin, technical general manager of Haval brand, as general manager of ORA brand, responsible for the overall management of the ORA brand.

According to information, Lv Wenbin is already a "veteran" of Great Wall Motors. He joined Great Wall Motors after graduating from university and has been engaged in technology and R&D work for a long time. In 2020, he was promoted to general manager of technology of Haval brand.
This technical executive has taken on a difficult task this time: the Ora brand, founded in 2018, achieved a peak annual sales of over 130,000 vehicles in 2021. However, its main models, the Black Cat/White Cat, were discontinued due to losses. No new models have been launched since 2023, and sales have been halved year after year.
The latest production and sales data of Great Wall Motors shows that from January to May this year, the cumulative sales of Ora was about 10,600 vehicles, a year-on-year decline of 58.69%. In the eyes of the outside world, Ora is currently facing the collapse of the entire system, and it is quite difficult for Lv Wenbin to break through.
